I'm back after a long while. This isn't my main gallery anymore, though. diaktoros.deviantart.com is. I realised that since I only really draw fanart it'd be okay to go back to DA. When I start doing digital art more seriously, then I'll look into the fine print aspect, but really, I don't think I'll ever have the motivation to be a professional artist. Art is a hobby, for me; a passionate hobby, but not something I want as a main career.
In other news, I am well into the Wizarding World fandom again, with the close of book seven. I've discovered the Harry Potter Lexicon and it is so easy to write fanfic when one has a reference book for the canon. Gah! So helpful!
I have the blues, as Christmas draws ever nearer. I don't know why, but I think it might be because this will be my last Christmas with my family, and it is far from the traditional things we usually do. I also feel increasingly like my family does not want me around any more, which is not doing anything for my Sickness, honestly.
I feel as though I alienated them, in younger days, and there's nothing I can do to bring them back--that they don't really *want* the real me, and don't know how to cope with it, since usually their tactic is to gracefully ignore a lot of the things that are part of me, the darkness and so on. Not to mention they don't understand me on a creative level, since I'm the only creative person in my family. Still, it is not as though they are actively infuriating. It might just be my Sickness making me paranoid. I don't know. What I do know, however, is that I'll be glad when I move.
I got presents in the post today. Books and peacock blue ink and a silver box with roses and briars. Also a beloved mouse named 'Slightly, Patron Mouse of Adverbs' and a small, queer little bunny made out of the toe of a sock that has yet to find a name.
What can I say? I am a steamgoth, a taoist fop and an artist of all trades. I adore Disney and I think in animation. I modify clothing easier than making it from scratch, and I would probably live in the Disneyland Hotel if I could.
